Uniq International – Registered in 2005 – (responsible for consolidating group financials, legal, marketing, corporate shared services, Custodian of Intellectual Property, Centralised Accreditations and strategic direction). Registered in South Africa per the Companies Act 71 of 2008.
Consolidated group revenue as at February 2024 is $2,1b. Financial year-end is February.
I am delighted with the results delivered by Uniq International’s transformation, globalization and most exciting the introduction of a new market – Latin America, were we have projects under negotiation and some secured. Our mid-year 2024 results are the best yet post the Covid-19 outbreak in March 2020. This year also marks our 19th year as a business in operation and as we build up towards our 20th anniversary, we maintain a proactive approach to risk management through robust governance, process and controls; our margins are improving and our strong balance sheet and skilled management positions us well for our globalization strategy. We are combining steady organic growth with strong momentum in external growth.
Our short-term results have reached all-time-high levels, confirming our ability to set a virtuous course and follow it. As we prove year after year, our integrated business model delivers performance and promises sustained, strategic growth. It does so thanks to the complementarity between our Financing, Concessions, Mining and Infrastructure Contracting activities. And it does so thanks to our strong management culture, which we are able to share with all our teams, including the ones that come aboard in the companies the Group acquires and collaborates with.
The Group’s Outlook
Global military conflicts, geopolitical instability, collapsing public infrastructure, amongst many other aspects have rendered long-term planning difficult and with it brought uncertainty. However, in our various business units - we’re expecting the construction and engineering contracting activities to grow significantly worldwide. Our Concessions company plays an essential role facilitating mobility within regions as well as national and transnational connections, in particular emerging economies – predominantly in the Global South. So, we’re confident for 2025 and beyond. We will continue to develop both our businesses, principally in international markets to further broaden our business model’s footprint, all the while nurturing our domestic markets. We will continue to grow larger, not heavier, keeping our expansion and debt under control.
Our activities’ long-term prospects, however, also involve transforming our business lines, products and services, to provide innovative, sustainable solutions for the major challenges arising in today’s world. Whilst aiming for all-round performance - because our infrastructure has a major impact on cities, regions and their citizens, Uniq aims for technical, economic, environmental and social performance in our long-term relationships with all our stakeholders.

A coat of arms is a unique heraldic design on an escutcheon (i.e., shield), surcoat, or tabard. The coat of arms on an escutcheon forms the central element of the full heraldic achievement which consists of shield, supporters, crest, and motto. The design is a symbol unique to our family and corporation.

The arms were officially granted on June 14, 2013 – by Mr Lebogang MOEPENG (Founder), Johannesburg, South Africa.

Arms: Kudu bulls, a representation of the MOEPENG Family totem; A chief argent the Fox, nestled in a reliable chequy and a persuasive Mascle.

Founded by Mr. Lebogang MOEPENG in 2005 in Soweto, South Africa; the group has grown to be a strategic player in our chosen markets. The group remains a private company with an ambition to soon list in the public stock exchange. The latter informs our strategy and significant investment into ensuring compliance and adherence to good corporate governance and embracing innovation.
Our business activities focus on the long-term aspects of what we do. We finance, design, build, maintain and operate public infrastructure and services that we all depend on. We are a multi-national and multi-cultural people and environment orientated group.
We are cognizant to the fact that what we do is of keen public interest, thus, we consider that reaching out to all our stakeholders and engaging in dialogue with them is essential in the conduct of our business activities in our chosen markets.
Conduct and Ethics
Our Code of Conduct and Ethics sets out basic principles to guide employee conduct. The code is supported by employee conduct policies and programs and reinforced through employee training.
We have zero tolerance in relation to illegal or unethical conduct and this is articulated in our relevant policies, including policies on conflicts of interest, gifts and entertainment, money laundering and counter terrorism, fraud, sanctions, outside activities, political contributions, and bribery and corruption. Any employee who violates the requirements of the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, or many of our other policies, is subject to disciplinary action.
Uniq expects the same high standards of those who represent us and we conduct appropriate due diligence on our business partners according to the risks they present, including corruption risk.

Uniq International, its subsidiaries, affiliates and joint ventures (collectively, “Uniq” or the Company”) and its employees commit to conduct its business activities in the highest ethical and professional manner.
